Advocacy and Mass Events Manager at International Cycling Union.
Isabella Burczak is the Advocacy and Mass Events Manager for the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the world governing body for cycling. She is responsible for the UCI’s initiatives and partnerships with regard to the promotion of cycling for all. Her responsibilities include collaborating with cities and regions, national federations, NGOs and various cycling advocacy organisations worldwide to promote the growth of cycling as both a sustainable form of transport and healthy recreational activity, while developing strategies to ensure elite cycling can drive and inspire wider participation. In addition, she also manages the UCI’s mass participation programmes, including the UCI Gran Fondo World Series and UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. Before joining the UCI in January 2017, Isabella worked for 10 years for the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, involved in the delivery of five editions of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games. Isabella is an avid outdoor enthusiast and cyclist, as well as a daily bike commuter.
