Guy Horne is a 30-year veteran of the Asian sports markets and has been deeply involved in the evolution of sports marketing in China. He managed the commercial programmes for the first ever FIVB Grand Prix, WTA and Asian Golf Tour events in China and the marketing and technical programme that qualified China men’s football team to their first ever FIFA World Cup.
Guy worked for IEC in Sports, later Lagardère Sports, from 2002-2017 in both Hong Kong and Lausanne. He led media rights acquisitions, media production, and new digital ventures for the summer tours of Europe’s top football clubs, the Asian Winter Games, BWF, FINA, World Triathlon, Asian rugby, Asian table tennis and Asian volleyball.
Since founding H&A Media in Lausanne in 2018, with offices in Beijing, Guy and his team work with a variety of federations and rightsholders to engage with Chinese fans through dedicated social media channel management, live streaming with Chinese commentary and the creation of original sports programming in China.
In the lead-up and during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, H&A Media were engaged by International Skating Union, Swiss-Ski and the snowboarder/singer Pat Burgener to launch and manage their official China market social media platforms, reaching millions of fans with a diverse range of entertaining content.
