Cédric van den Bogaerde

Cedric is currently working as head of Strategy & Education at the International Academy of Sport Science & Technology (AISTS). In his role, he oversees the development and operations of world leading sport education programmes, including the Master (MAS) in Sport Administration & Technology.

An electronics and telecommunications engineer by training, Cedric has spent the last decade working for the International Olympic Committee after having graduated from AISTS in 2009. In his time at the IOC, Cedric has been instrumental in several strategic initiatives such as Olympic Agenda 2020 and Olympic Agenda 2020+5 – the strategic roadmaps for the Olympic Movement – the New Norm – an in-depth review of the delivery model of the Olympic Games – and the set-up of IOC’s brand management programme.

Next to his role at AISTS, Cedric heads the press & media operations for Athletissima, the Lausanne Diamond League meeting.

Cedric remains a competitive sport enthusiast. After years sharpening his performance on 400m dash in Belgium, you will now find him on the shores of lake Geneva, swimming, biking, running or cross-country skiing in preparation for his next major (half-)ironman triathlon. In leisure time, you may also find him surfing waves across the globe.
