Bill Powell is the Co-founder & Managing Partner of Anthropy Partners, where he supports early and mid-stage companies advancing innovations in physiology, materials science, and neuroscience. His work spans collaborations with stakeholders from sectors like sports, healthcare, and research institutions, helping businesses navigate growth from early to mid stages.
Before co-founding Anthropy Partners, Bill served as Managing Director at Stadia Ventures, leading direct deal flow for the firm’s sports tech growth fund. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade as Director of International Private Equity at AMG National Trust Bank, where he helped shape global investment strategies and managed private equity and direct investments as a member of the firm’s investment committee.
Bill began his career at Deutsche Bank in New York (CJ Lawrence & Deutsche Bank Asset Management). Following graduate studies in Paris, he launched his entrepreneurial career in Stockholm’s web1 startup ecosystem, focusing on all aspects of running a startup. He worked closely with Nordic multinationals and government organizations as they embraced digital transformation and democracy initiatives.
Bill holds an MBA and MS in Finance from the University of Denver and an MA in French from Middlebury College. He serves on multiple non-profit boards focused on education, sports, health, and cross-cultural communication.
